Barbara Hughes will present a program at the Mother Boniface Spirituality Center. We invite the many lay ministers in the Philadelphia area for this day. Barbara will share insights based on years of working in the vineyard of lay ministry. Barbara’s book Ministry and the Mystical Path: Formation Guide for Lay Ministers speaks to the heart of those involved in lay ministry.
Some topics covered will be “mystics as mentors,” “marriage, prayer and ministry,” along with “spiritual guidance,” and “standing at the crossroads.” This day is sure to restore ministers and transform hearts.
Barbara Hughes holds a Masters Degree in formative spirituality from Duquene University and is the author Ministry and the Mystical Path and more than 600 articles on the spiritual life drawn from decades of pastoral experience. A spiritual director for more than 25 years, Barbara is a wife, mother, grandmother and a Secular Carmelite of more than 30 years.
