This presentation will reflect the rich history of Black priests and religious in the life of the Catholic Church touching both struggles and successes. The first Black Catholic Congress was held in Washington, D.C. in 1887 and the most recent in 2017.  Saturday morning Mass will be part of the day’s schedule.

Presenter:  Sr. Mary Ann Henagan, MSBT, is a Missionary Servant of the Most Blessed Trinity. Her various ministries have included nursing (RN from Holy Name of Jesus Nursing School and BS from Holy Family College), prison ministry, religious education and outreach and spiritual direction (MA from Neumann College in Aston, PA).  She is currently on staff at Blessed Trinity Shrine Retreat and does volunteer work in Hurtsboro and Phenix City, AL.

Fee:  $50.00 (includes a $15.00 non-refundable deposit)
