Father Matt Guckin -Rest, Retreat and Renewal

Fall is just around the corner. It is a busy time of year as children head back to school and the pace of life moves faster. We invite you to come to the Mother Boniface Spirituality Center for an evening presentation with Father Matt Guckin. Father Matt will share stories about his time in the California Missions and encourage us to heed the call of God for rest, retreat and renewal!

According to website catholic.org,  “The Spanish missions in California comprise a series of religious and military outposts established by Spanish Catholics of the Franciscan Order between 1769 and 1823 to spread the Christian faith among the local Native Americans. … Today, the missions are among the state’s oldest structures and the most-visited historic monuments. There are 21 missions.”

Father Matt returned from a brief sabbatical in California and during that time studied the history of the Missions. We are so excited to hear about his experience and grateful to have him join us at the Mother Boniface Spirituality Center.

Mass at 6:00pm followed by light supper, presentation at 7:00pm.  You can call us at 267-350-1831 or email us [email protected] and let us know that you will attend.
