Statement on the killing of George Floyd and our opposition to racism
We the Missionary Servants of the Most Blessed Trinity oppose racism in all its forms.
We condemn the killing of George Floyd and the continued killing of so many black men and women. Killing, mistreatment and denial of the human rights and dignity of black men and women is evil and must stop. We are responsible to work together to eliminate the grave sin of racism and to work for peace and justice.
Impelled by the Trinity, we are bold in witnessing God’s love in our Church and in our hurting and ever-changing world. On fire with the Charism, we become leaven in new and creative ways.
We pray…
Father of all people teach us to value and love all your children.
May we act to oppose harm of any kind towards your children.
Jesus, you gave your life for the salvation of souls.
Lead us out of the sin of racism. Help us to see and treat each other as brother and sister.
Holy Spirit cleanse our minds and hearts of all racial prejudice towards others.
Guide us to grow in our understanding of our own racism and give us the fortitude to carry out those actions that will be part of the change necessary in our lives and
of the life of our nation.
Blessed be the Holy and Undivided Trinity, now and forever. Amen
Nosotras las Siervas Misioneras de la Santísima Trinidad nos oponemos al racismo en todas sus formas.
Condenamos el asesinato de George Floyd y el asesinato continuo de tantos hombres y mujeres negros. Matar, maltratar y negar los derechos humanos y la dignidad de los hombres y mujeres negros es malo y debe detenerse. Somos responsables de trabajar juntas para eliminar el grave pecado del racismo y trabajar por la paz y la justicia.
Impulsadas por la Trinidad, somos valientes al presenciar el amor de Dios en nuestra Iglesia y en nuestro mundo herido y en constante cambio. Impulsadas con nuestro carisma, nos convertimos en levadura de maneras nuevas y creativas.

Padre de todas las personas, enséñanos a valorar y amar a todos tus hijos.
Que podemos actuar para oponernos a cualquier tipo de daño hacia tus hijos.
Jesús, tu diste tu vida por la salvación de las almas.
Sácanos del pecado del racismo. Ayúdanos a vernos y tratarnos como hermanos y hermanas.
Espíritu Santo limpia nuestras mentes y corazones de todo prejuicio racial hacia los demás.
Guíanos para crecer en la comprensión de nuestro propio racismo y danos la fortaleza para
llevar a cabo esas acciones que serán parte del cambio necesario en nuestras vidas y en la vida de nuestra nación.
