Leaders Elected

From May 19-27 our sisters gathered for the Missionary Servants of the Most Blessed Trinity’s 17th General Cenacle on the grounds of the Motherhouse in Philadelphia. These nine days were filled with prayer and reflection as we met to discern the community’s direction for the next five years.

As part of the General Cenacle new leaders were elected to serve the community for this five year term. We are proud to announce the newly elected General Custodian, Sr. Barbara McIntyre, MSBT, Assistant General Custodian and Councilor, Sr. Maria Lauren Donohue, MSBT, and Councilors Sr. Beth Butler, MSBT, Sr. Deborah Wilson, MSBT and Sr. Maria Zepeda, MSBT.

The installation of the newly elected General Council will be during the 11am Mass at the Motherhouse on Sunday, July 29th. We pray especially for the gifts of wisdom and fortitude for these sisters as they begin their term of service to the community. Below is the prayer used by all the sisters in preparation for the Chapter that reflects the theme Be Leaven:

Like the Widow of Zerephath,

may we give all we have

trusting in God’s Providence.

Like the woman with the yeast,

may we knead into the world

the leaven of God’s Kingdom.

Give us the fortitude

To give ourselves completely.

Give us the wisdom to be your leaven.

As we share our charism,

May our efforts bear much fruit

To the glory of the Trinity.  Amen!
