Missionary Servants of the Most Blessed Trinity

Trinita Family Life Center, New Hartford, CT

Located in northwest Connecticut, Trinita has been a mission of The Missionary Servants of the Most Blessed Trinity since 1923.  Trinita was once a working farm, then a girl's summer camp.  Today, after extensive renovations, it is a center suitable for many kinds of gatherings. It features:

  • a retreat house (pictured above) which can accommodate up to 50 people in group sessions.
  • overnight accommodations with 3 winterized cabins that sleep 12 each and room for 6  in the main house, for a total of 42 beds.
  • a dining hall and modern kitchen facility with kitchen staff to provide hot meals.
  • 125 acres of grounds and woods, including Stations of the Cross and hiking trails.
  • recreation facilities, including a swimming pool, picnic pavilion, basketball "half-court", campfire area, and ping-pong and other games in the Lodge.
  • ability to have Mass in the main meeting room of the main house or in the Lodge.

At Trinita, the staff and sisters provide a ministry to area parishes, youth groups, prayer groups and more.  From September to June, they facilitate retreats and special events for families.  They are also available to give Communion and Confirmation retreats.  In addition, Trinita does host many groups who bring their own facilitators.

During the summer, Trinita provides a Family Life Development Program for inner-city families. The program is unique in offering a summer camp-type program to whole families rather than just children. The program encourages and fosters family communication and growth while providing spiritual enrichment not only to the families, but to the volunteers as well.
