Our Way of Life
We live together in small local communities. We call our homes missionary cenacles rather than convents. Each cenacle has its own schedule for common prayer, meals, and meetings. Each sister receives a small monthly stipend for her personal needs. We are required to take a vacation every year, as well as make an annual spiritual retreat of some kind.

We gather a few times a year with other cenacles in our geographic region. These meetings serve several purposes: continuing education, spiritual enrichment, planning, and socializing. We place a high value on enjoying our time together: it helps us keep our family spirit alive.
We proudly wear our community pin, its symbols always reminding us of our devotion to the Trinity and the Holy Spirit. We do not wear a habit, for excellent historical reasons. We were founded in an area where prejudice against Catholics was very intense, and people were afraid to be seen associating with nuns. A habit would have been an insurmountable obstacle to our work. Following our earliest tradition, we wear modest but contemporary clothing.
It's not just about WHAT we do.......
it's WHERE, HOW and WHY we do it!
