Missionary Servants of the Most Blessed Trinity

Our Work

Most apostolic religious congregations serve the poor in some way. We all reach out to those in need, the sick, the neglected, the suffering. Therefore, it is important to understand the unique reasons for a congregation's choice of ministries. These are the criteria that the Missionary Servants use for choosing our work:

We seek "abandoned work"-- work which probably would not get done unless we took it on.

We work to preserve the Catholic Faith: we seek out people who are culturally Catholic but are in danger of losing their faith, perhaps by past experiences, by neglect, or even by a matter of geography.

We work to develop a missionary spirit in the laity, so that every Catholic responds to the fundamental baptismal call to lead an apostolic life.

Unlike some religious communities, we don't have one special ministry such as teaching or nursing. No matter what work we find ourselves doing, we are missionaries. Here are some examples of ministries in which we engage:

  • religious education at the parish and diocesan level
  • social services, including material assistance to the needy, counseling, and advocacy
  • family life development and enrichment for low-income families
  • outreach (material and spiritual) to migrant workers and their families
  • medical care in materially abandoned areas
  • prison ministry
  • retreat work
  • special programs for at-risk children and youth

It's not just about WHAT we do.......
it's WHERE, HOW and WHY we do it!
