The Emmaus Hermitage consists of a bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, prayer area and screened porch. It is equipped with heat as well as air-conditioning. Bedding and towels are provided.

Retreatants ordinarily provide their own food and have use of a microwave oven, toaster oven, 2-burner stove, refrigerator and freezer for preparing meals in the hermitage.

Daily Eucharist is currently celebrated Monday-Friday at 8am EST at the local parish, St. Joseph, just across the road. Sunday Mass is celebrated at 9:30am for English and 11:30am for Spanish. This schedule changes from time to time, so it is recommended that you confirm with Retreat Center staff.

Although we may have other programs and activities going on at the Main Retreat Center, we respect Emmaus as a place of solitude, prayer, and reflection. The peaceful grounds provide ample space for solitude to commune with God through nature along wooded paths that lead to creeks, the Chattahoochee River, a stunning overlook, a Grotto, and a waterfall.

Fr. Judge Chapel Area

The original Chapel of Fr. Thomas A. Judge, CM, founder of the Missionary Servants of the Most Blessed Trinity, is preserved here on the grounds of Blessed Trinity.

It was in 1917 that this simple cabin became the white-washed chapel in which Fr. Judge celebrated the first Mass for the early volunteers and sisters. The original stations of the cross, tabernacle and statues are still within its rustic walls.

Guests are welcome to spend private time in prayer, listen to a presentation or celebrate Mass in Fr. Judge’s original Chapel.
